Here you can see that my service admin account can’t access the configuration settings page:
Log into the vIDM Appliance as root or sshuser via SSH or Console, pressing ALT+F1 in a Console to log in. Now, run the following command to set a new password:
/usr/sbin/hznAdminTool setSystemAdminPassword
These console-related passwords must be at least 6 characters in length. However, make sure that you create strong passwords. Strong passwords should be at least eight characters long and include uppercase and lowercase characters and at least one digit or special character.
after successfully creating a new password you’ll be able to log in:
If you received your password from a different root user, you can now change your admin password also in vIDM Manager Admin UI.
