Install Guide
You can install VDT using following steps:
1. Download the version which is compatible with your vCenter version from following URL -> vSphere Diagnostic Tool
2. Transfer the entire ZIP directory to /root on the VCSA on which you wish to run it
3. Change to the root directory containing .zip file with cd /root and unpack it with the following command:
unzip vdt-1.1.6.zip
4. Navigate to the created vdt-1.1.6/ folder and run the tool with the following command:
python vdt.py
5. Accept the question about running the tool with Y and enter your administrator@vsphere.local password:
6. When finished, the tool creates report which is saved under /var/log/vmware/vdt-report-date_of_creation.
